Best luxury advent calendars 2026, to spoil yourself with or give to someone you adore

The advent calendar has well and truly grown up. Gone are the days of a thin cardboard window and a waxy chocolate shaped vaguely like a bell. This year you can open a drawer and find a pair of 18ct gold-plated earrings, a full-size face oil, a hand-decorated bone china candle or a Sichuan pepper praline (yes, really). Twenty-four days of tiny, perfectly wrapped joy is now a serious luxury category.

Every brand under the sun has a calendar, prices run from the price of a pub lunch to the price of a short city break, and half of them will sell out before you’ve decided between the jewellery one and the chocolate one. Trust us when we say the best ones vanish by the end of October.

Below you’ll find the calendars worth your money, split across jewellery, beauty, food and home, whether you’re buying for your mother, your best friend, a sweet-toothed child or, most importantly, yourself. Self-gifting is not only allowed, it’s encouraged.

The jewellery advent calendars worth the wait

Astrid & Miyu 24 Day Advent Calendar

Best for: The jewellery lover who has everything
Price: £795 (a 12 day edition is £395)

Let’s get the number out of the way: £795 is a lot for a calendar. But this one is a proper ear-stack education, with 22 exclusive celestial pieces in 18k gold-plated brass and recycled sterling silver, from crystal drop studs and Hidden Star hoops to Duo Cosmic Star huggies and titanium piercing studs. The calendar itself doubles as a suedette jewellery box, so you’ll keep it long after Christmas. Astrid & Miyu says that’s a 50% saving, which is a very good argument to put to a sceptical partner. If you’d rather start smaller, the 12 day gold edition is £395, but stock is in small supply, so pre-order early. (The silver 24 day has already sold out.)

Missoma Gold Jewellery Advent Calendar

Best for: Building a gold stack, one door at a time
Price: £249 in gold plating (£239 in silver plating, £1,295 in solid gold)

Missoma has a way of making everyday gold feel like an occasion, and this six-piece calendar is no exception. The gold-plated edition holds three earrings, a necklace and two bracelets in 18ct gold plating, all tucked inside a velvet jewellery box that looks far too pretty to throw away. The silver-plated version has the same six pieces for £239. Feeling flush? The solid gold edition is £1,295, with four earrings, a necklace and a bracelet in 9ct yellow gold. We know, we know, but a girl can dream. Missoma releases these in limited numbers and past editions sold out quickly, so don’t dither.

Joma Jewellery 12 Days of Sparkle Advent Calendar

Best for: A thoughtful, personalised gift
Price: £199.99 in silver plating, £209.99 in gold plating

Here’s a calendar that’s thought about the details. Behind 12 doors sit 12 exclusive jewellery pieces (necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets), worth over £350, and the gold edition includes the brand’s first gold-plated lab-grown diamond bracelet. The Day 1 A Little Bracelet can be personalised with a name and a charm, and the Day 9 Necklace with an extra charm. Once the countdown is over, the box becomes a reusable two-tiered vegan leather jewellery box with monogrammed initials inside the lid. Smart, sweet and very giftable.

Helix & Conch 4 Sundays of Advent

Best for: Earring obsessives who love a surprise
Price: £210 (worth at least £270)

Not every advent calendar needs 24 doors. This one has four, one for each Sunday of Advent (29 November, 6, 13 and 20 December), and each box holds a new pair of earrings, so you get four pairs of hoops in total. The pieces are built on a 925 sterling silver base and finished in 14k gold plating or left in silver, from a female-founded British brand. The designs are a surprise, which is rather the point.

The beauty advent calendars that make December glow

Fortnum & Mason Beauty Advent Calendar

Best for: The beauty-hall binge
Price: £275 (worth over £1,225)

Twenty-four full-size products. Let that sink in. This is the most generous Fortnum’s beauty calendar yet, with 25 drawers of skincare, fragrance, bath and body from names like Ortigia, Wildsmith, Clive Christian, Delilah, Granado and Jean-Charles Brosseau. We’re particularly taken with the Bamford Nurturing Face Oil, the Sol de Janeiro body butter and a pair of Shleep silk socks tucked in among the lotions (the sort of detail that makes this feel like a real gift rather than a clearance bin). It’s on sale online and at the Piccadilly store, and Fortnum’s says it sells out most years.

ishga 12 Days of ishga Twilight Tides Calendar

Best for: A seaweed-scented spa weekend at home
Price: £245 (worth £485)

If the Hebrides had a skincare counter, this would be it. The limited-edition calendar has 12 drawers filled with full-size products from the organic Scottish brand, which is made on the Isle of Lewis with antioxidant-rich seaweed and found in spas from The Dorchester to Coworth Park. Inside are a Regenerating Face Serum, a Nourishing Face Oil, an Antioxidant Marine Cream, a Hebridean Sea Salt Scrub and a Hebridean Dreams candle, among others. At half price against the contents’ value, it’s a very good way to buy into the spa life.

Odylique 24-Day Luxury Organic Beauty Advent Calendar

Best for: The clean-beauty devotee
Price: £225 (worth over £350, including the reusable box)

The organic beauty pioneer has packed 27 organic skin, body and hair care products into a calendar that comes in a reusable box, with at least 12 of them full-size. Expect cult favourites like the Superfruit Concentrate, Silk Touch Cleanser and Gradual Glow Tanning Serum, plus a Coconut Candy Scrub for the body and a mystery first look at an unreleased face care product. There are even six plastic-free tools from Acala, including reusable makeup wipes and a sisal soap bag. It’s available to pre-order now, with orders shipping from 30 October. Eco-conscious, thoughtful, and rather lovely.

Blue Lagoon Skin Science Festive Advent Calendar

Best for: An Icelandic ritual, one week at a time
Price: £195 (worth £396, a saving of £201)

A calendar for people who find 24 tiny doors exhausting. This four-tiered box gives you one ritual for each week of December: cleansing in week one (the Silica Mud Mask and BL+ Cleansing Balm), a daily routine in week two (BL+ The Serum and The Cream), a nourishing week three (a Gua Sha Stone, the Algae Mask and BL+ The Eye Cream) and a lip ritual to finish (the BL+ Lip Renewal Mask and a Lip Mask Tool). It’s calm, clever and a little bit spa-like, which feels exactly right for December. It’s a limited edition, and savings of 51% don’t hurt, either.

ARRAN Sense of Scotland Beauty Advent Calendar

Best for: Cosy, scented nights in
Price: £90 (worth over £200)

Following a sell-out year, the island brand is back with 25 doors of miniatures, and the result smells like a Highland Christmas. Door 1 opens on a limited-edition Bitter Orange & Clove candle, inspired by a Victorian pomander, and a Pomegranate & Plum candle follows on Door 5. Look out too for an Island Dusk candle exclusive to the calendar, Kildonan Eau de Toilette on Door 14 and After the Rain Eau de Parfum on Christmas Day. Everything else is bath, body and hair, wrapped in vintage fairground imagery. At £90 it’s one of the best-value options here, and the brand’s banner says it’s selling fast.

Bamford Wellness Advent Calendar

Best for: Making December feel like a retreat
Price: £300 (worth £672)

Bamford does calm like no one else, and this calendar proves it. Behind 24 doors you’ll find 12 full-size products, six travel sizes and six wellness tools, from Geranium and Rose bath and body treats to candles, a face oil, gua sha and palm stones. Five ritual cards tell you how to use it all, which is an unexpectedly nice touch. It’s available now and, frankly, it’s the closest thing to a December spa break that fits inside a box.

Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar

Best for: The beauty editor in your life
Price: £285 (worth £1,300)

Liberty’s calendar is a masterclass in how to do a prestige beauty countdown. Twenty-nine products (21 of them full-size) cover makeup, skincare and fragrance, from Sunday Riley, Lisa Eldridge and Sisley to a full-size Augustinus Bader face oil. It all arrives in a gorgeous Liberty print drawstring bag, with golden tickets for a bit of surprise-and-delight. Worth over £1,300, it’s a calendar that makes you feel clever for buying it.

Jo Malone London Christmas Kist Advent Calendar

Best for: Fragrance lovers with expensive taste
Price: £375 (worth £595)

This one comes as a trunk that doubles as an advent calendar, with scented treats hidden in crackers, ornaments and stockings, which is rather more fun than a row of numbered doors. Inside are 25 gifts: twelve 9ml colognes, from Orange Bitters and English Pear & Freesia to Wood Sage & Sea Salt and Myrrh & Tonka Cologne Intense, plus hand and body treats, three travel candles and a 30ml Tangerine & Honey Cologne saved for the 25th. It lets you build a wardrobe of scents you’d normally spend an afternoon sniffing at the counter. It’s not cheap, but Jo Malone never is, and the gift-wrapped look says everything on your behalf.

Acqua di Parma Holiday Collection Advent Calendar

Best for: The ultimate Italian splurge
Price: £644

At £644, this is the priciest scent calendar on our list, and it knows it. Twenty-four treats include the house’s signature Colonia and Arancia di Capri fragrances, hand creams, soaps and candles, with a 50ml Colonia Il Profumo saved for the finale. Think Riviera in December: sunny, polished and very glamorous. If you’re looking for a gift that says “I’ve thought about this,” here it is.

L’Occitane Prestige Advent Calendar

Best for: A classic French ritual, wrapped up for someone you love
Price: £169 (worth £269; the Classic edition is £99)

If the full-on prestige calendars feel like a lot, here’s a gentler option from the Provençal house. The Prestige edition opens on 24 days of iconic favourites, deluxe travel sizes and exclusive treats for hair, face and body, so you get the greatest hits plus a few things you can’t buy elsewhere. It’s available online and in boutiques while stocks last, and the brand itself warns that the popular editions sell out quickly, so buy before December. A lovely present for the friend who has everything and still loves a hand cream.

The food and chocolate advent calendars you’ll struggle to share

Fortnum & Mason Feasting Advent Calendar

Best for: A food hall in a box
Price: £265

Come on, it’s Fortnum’s! The redesigned 2026 calendar hides 26 treasures, 20 of them full-size, pulled straight from the Piccadilly Food Hall. Think Amalthea Pink Gin, a Mulled Wine Spice Box, Cranberry Sauce, Hickory Smoke Mixed Nuts and Midnight Feast Chocolate Hedgehogs, plus the one that will get the whole table talking: Christmas Hot Honey & Parsnip Hot Sauce. Look out for the Mini Nutcracker Crackers and a Fortnum’s tea towel too. Pre-order now for delivery from 1 November. It’s built for sharing, though self-gifting is, ahem, perfectly acceptable.

Pierre Marcolini Christmas in the Kitchen Advent Calendar

Best for: Chocolate lovers who like their gifts to be useful
Price: £55 (£79 with a Moleskine recipe book)

Pierre Marcolini has turned the calendar into a recipe book, which is a very clever idea. Open the cover and you’ll find 25 creations to open one a day, from pralines, truffles and marshmallows to Petits Bonheurs and creamy hearts, with flavours like Sichuan pepper, cinnamon, yuzu, pistachio marzipan and champagne. The Moleskine edition adds a recipe book with four exclusive recipes, including the Maison’s signature chocolate mousse and hot chocolate. It’s part of the Belgian chocolatier’s Christmas in the Kitchen collection, so if you’re feeling ambitious, add the Yule Log Casserole (£55, serves six, with a chocolate lid you lift at the table). The calendar is available to pre-order now, and you’ll find the collection in the Marylebone, Regent Street and Notting Hill boutiques, and at Selfridges, Harrods and Liberty.

Neuhaus Sharing Advent Calendar

Best for: Couples, flatmates and generous souls
Price: £159.50

Most advent calendars assume you’ll eat alone in secret. This one has other ideas. The Belgian chocolatier’s calendar opens up to reveal a Neuhaus chocolate factory scene, with 74 pralines plus chocolate bars, treats and hot chocolate beans inside, and matching chocolates behind each door so that two people can share the daily ritual. It looks lovely propped on a sideboard. Fine, you can still keep both chocolates. We won’t tell.

Venchi Prestige Advent Calendar Vintage Dream

Best for: Serious chocolate on a sensible budget
Price: £56

Here’s proof that Italian chocolate does Christmas better than most. The Prestige calendar is an assortment of around two dozen Venchi chocolates in a range of textures and cocoa intensities, with flavours that include hazelnut, pistachio, almond, caramel, raspberry, coffee and candied orange peel. It’s gluten free, too. For £56, the sheer variety makes it one of the best-value luxury chocolate calendars around. Hear, hear.

MELT Chocolates Portobello Road Advent Calendar

Best for: Wes Anderson fans on a modest budget
Price: £49.99 (a refill is £44.99)

The Portobello Road calendar is all cute awnings and storybook charm, and at £49.99 it’s the most affordable of the four architectural calendars from the Notting Hill chocolatier. The chocolates inside are handmade by master chocolatiers in the shop’s boutiques, and the packaging is plastic-free. Charming, clever and an easy gift for someone who loves a pretty shopfront.

MELT Chocolates Notting Hill Advent Calendar

Best for: Mini house obsessives
Price: £79.99

Tiny houses! The playful Notting Hill calendar is a miniature street scene of little houses, which makes it a joy to look at before you’ve even opened a door. Like everything from MELT, the chocolates are handmade in the brand’s Notting Hill boutiques and the packaging is plastic-free. It’s a lovely thing to display on a mantelpiece, and an even better thing to eat.

Cartwright & Butler 12 Treats of Christmas

Best for: A teatime treat in 12 sliding drawers

There’s something very pleasing about a calendar with sliding drawers. The 12 Treats of Christmas box opens on a teatime parade, from crumbly biscuits to sweet confectionery, savoury nibbles and hot drinks, so it works for anyone who prefers a savoury biscuit to a chocolate. If you’re feeling bold, the gigantic 24 Day Advent Calendar (£200, sold at Selfridges) has 24 illustrated drawers of the brand’s best-sellers, including sweet and savoury biscuits, preserves, hot drinks, cakes and confectionery. Inspired by Swiss Christmas markets, the 304g calendar is filled with Lindt TEDDY and SANTA figures and LINDOR Hearts in flavours like Salted Caramel and Hazelnut. It’s the sweet-toothed child in all of us, in cardboard form. Pop it on the kitchen counter and watch it vanish.
